Belfast Telegraph: David Duchovny: I'll never have another success like The X-Files - Nov 2015

David Duchovny has said he will not have another television success like The X-Files.
The award-winning actor remains best-known for his role as FBI Agent Fox Mulder in the sci-fi/horror drama, alongside Gillian Anderson as Dana Scully. "It's fantastic to be part of it," he said.
"At first it's a little frightening and feels like a strait-jacket. But as time goes on, you just learn to be grateful."

Duchovny used Adele's album 21 to explain his X-Files achievement.

NBC unlikely to repeat binge-watch test for 'Aquarius'

U.S. broadcast TV network NBC is unlikely to extend its binge-watching experiment for the second season of drama "Aquarius, the head of entertainment at the Comcast-owned network said on Thursday, though he would not rule out trying the approach for other series.

The success of Netflix Inc, with 65 million global subscribers, is pressuring traditional TV networks to try new approaches as they compete with online outlets for viewers, especially younger audiences who watch video on mobile devices.

‘Aquarius’ Ratings Rise On Otherwise Even Thursday (July 9, 2015)

There weren’t a lot of repeats last night but there were a number of repeat performances. Thursday’s primetime saw the majority of originals matching their tepid July 2 results. With a 6% bop up from last week, Big Brother (1.9/7) was the top-rated show and the third most watched (5.9 million) after The Big Bang Theory (1.4/6) and Mom (1.2/5) encores that preceded it on CBS. However, it was newbie Aquarius (0.5/2) and Mistresses (0.8/3) that saw the biggest rises among adults 18-49 compared with last week. The Manson era-set NBC series was up 25%, while the soapy ABC show jumped 33% in the key demo.

When I tell him so, he’s not overly impressed. Now in his mid 50s, newly divorced from Tea Leoni, he seems to have hit his stride.
