Sp!tz: Season six of Californication is almost
over, but fortunately season seven is already ordered. However, fans of Hank
Moody will go through a withdrawal process because according to David Duchovny,
the end of the series is in sight. "I think season seven is the last one."
"I
think next season is the last one. Yes, I really do. I had that feeling in
season 6, but now it's stronger. Look, you never know with cable because it's
annoying that only a new season is ordered after the last one premiered on TV.
If the results are bad, it stops. So you can never ascribe to an end, because
it can always continue. "
How should it end?
"Hank
and, his ex, Karen together for good. This love story between the two is the
heart of the show. Once there was the idea of the show to end with the death
of Hank, because as I said earlier, someone who drinks and smokes so much
simply cannot live long. But I think Hank has become so important to kill him
(laughs)”

Todd Robinson on 'The Last Full Measure,' the genius of J.J. Abrams, and the video game 'Hawken'
Todd Robinson is an Emmy-winning writer and Spirit Award nominee, responsible for "White Squall," "Lonely Hearts," and 2013's "Phantom," starring Ed Harris, David Duchovny and William Fichtner. Robinson, who also directed the latter two films, took some time to chat with Zap2it about his upcoming project, "The Last Full Measure," the perils of the studio system, and the pitfalls of the video game world.
"The Last Full Measure" is a passion piece for Robinson that he's set to begin filming in coastal Georgia later this year. The cast list is stacked with legendary actors such as Morgan Freeman, Lawrence Fishburne, and Andy Garcia. Robinson says he'll reunite with "Phantom's" Harris, Duchovny, and Fichtner as well.
David Duchovny on third ‘X Files’ movie
David Duchovny must be weary of answering questions on the status of the third “The X Files” movie. Still, he answered with his boyish smile in our recent chat, “As I’ve said many times, I’m always willing to do it. I know Gillian (Anderson) is, too. Gillian is about to come here and do a Rand Ravich drama on NBC. So, that can only help—Gillian being high-profile here again. And Chris (Carter, ‘The X-Files’ creator) is around. We all love Chris and think he’s brilliant, so…”
Despite his commitment to his TV series, “Californication,” David maintained that he would find time to return as Fox Mulder. “Yeah, we all would make time for that. That’s like a family member.” Grinning, he caught himself: “Well, that makes it sound like you don’t want to make time, but I have nothing but gratitude for the whole chapter and for the people who helped me. It’s a great franchise and a great character. I’d love to continue it.”
Angola movie producer Rui Costa Reis sat down with TheWrap to discuss his new movie "Phantom," a submarine thriller starring Ed Harris and David Duchovny which opened to just $650,000 in early March.
But he is not daunted. A newcomer to the movie business, Costa Reis explained his strategy for growing an independent movie production and distribution company, as the chairman of RCR Media Group. Eliad Josephson, to his right, is the CEO. "It was a very good experience since the first day of shooting this movie, and releasing it to the market," he says.

Actor David Duchovny arrives at the premiere of 'Phantom' at the Chinese Theater on February 27, 2013 in Los Angeles, California.
Starpulse was at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood at the red carpet premiere of Todd Robinson’s film, Phantom, starring Academy Award nominee Ed Harris and Golden Globe winner David Duchovny. The thriller, also starring William Fichtner, Lance Henriksen and Johnathon Schaech focuses on a captain of a Cold War Soviet missile submarine (played by Harris) who has secretly been suffering from seizures that alter his perception of reality. After leaving his family for a classified mission, he is haunted by his past and forced to come face to face by a group of KGB agents set on seizing control of the ship's nuclear missile. We caught up with Duchovny, Schaech and a few other stars who were out supporting Phantom.
David Duchovny, who plays a KGB agent in Phantom says he never played cops and robbers when he was a kid but playing a bad guy in the film was an interesting ride. “At the time of the Cold War you had the good guys and the bad guys who are evenly matched and the stakes are high which make for a good movie.” Because they actually filmed in a submarine, the cast had to be in tight quarters and David told us that after work no one really hung out with each other because we were still on the sub, but he did play catch with Ed Harris outside.
We had so much fun on the red carpet with the stars of Phantom and all the celebrities who came out to support the film. Make sure to check out Phantom, now playing in select theaters.

David Duchovny joins host Robin Milling to discuss his new movie Phantom where he portrays an extremist KGB agent aboard a Soviet submarine during the Cold War. David tells Robin no acting was required as far as maneuvering through the tight enclosed spaces as they shot on an actual Russian sub from that era docked in San Diego harbor. Had it been out on the water and submerged, David says he might have felt claustrophobic and panicked.
Actor David Duchovny stopped by The Grove to chat with “Extra’s” Maria Menounos about his new thriller, “Phantom.”
The film is inspired by a real-life 1968 incident in which a Russian submarine sank off the coast of Hawaii. Duchovny explained, “So the movie is kind of about what might have happened aboard that sub. Did it go rogue? Was it going to fire on Hawaii and start World War III? That kind of stuff.” Duchovny added, “I'm a pretty bad guy.”

David Duchovny learned the hard way; submarines are cramped.
He plays a KGB operative aboard a sub in “Phantom,” which was filmed using an actual “Russian Cold War-era sub,” Duchovny, 52, said this week.
“It was smaller than I thought because there’s no space on a submarine that’s not functional and it was all true. Nothing had to be done to make this seem real: It was real.
“I didn’t feel claustrophobic but at one point somebody forgot to switch something and it started to take on thousands of gallons of water and it was listing (but never sinking). If we were really underwater I’d have felt differently.”
In the new Cold War submarine thriller "Phantom," David Duchovny plays a special forces KGB agent whose mission aboard the sub captained by Ed Harris -- who's on his last command before retiring -- could start World War III.
Duchovny sat down with Moviefone to discuss tattoo confusion, his dislike of unitards, and forgetting the submarine-themed episode of "The X-Files" he shot back in the '90s.
Moviefone: I just saw Ed Harris in the hallway. I felt like I should salute.
David Duchovny: I feel the same way.
