Fearing western retaliation they send their entire fleet after B756. Meanwhile deep under the Pacific Ocean Captain Zubov and the ship’s crew of the B-756 uncover a plot that will destroy humanity. Phantom - Appeal Against R-Rating

Producers Unhappy About MPAA's Decision

There are already some films out there that take place in a submarine, e.g. Das Boot, U-571 or Crimson Tide come to mind. However, it seems that there are still some stories and investors that make more films with this context possible. The thriller Phantom starring David Duchovny and Ed Harris is one of them. With a budget of 18 million Dollars, little is known about the plot in which a captain of a Soviet submarine has to carry out a mission with a mysterious motive. The first mission to complete is one for the film's producers who are not happy about the "R" rating (for violence) assigned by the MPAA. According to the MPAA bulletin, the producers intend to appeal the classification. It remains to be seen whether they just try to argue or directly apply cuts in order to secure the lower PG-13 rating. We'll see how it turns out. movie-censorship

Season 6 first look #Californication - David Duchovny

Season 5 of Californication ended in a bit of a dark place: Hank (David Duchovny) was (possibly fatally) drugged by a bitter ex-girlfriend. Based on the exclusive first look at Season 6 below, things will remain dark when the show resumes — at least for a little while.
"We pick up days after that in the hospital, where Hank has survived but she hasn't," Duchovny says. "This season kind of begins with Hank spiraling down."

Next stop: rehab! And with that comes the return of comedy. "We go to rehab, but it's really just for comedic purposes," Duchovny says. The video also offers your first look at this season's guest stars. Tim Minchin plays a rock star wanting Hank's help in develop his book God Hates Us All into a Broadway musical.

Marilyn Manson and Maggie Grace play some of the characters Hank encounters in the rock 'n' roll world. Other treats in the clip below: Charlie (Evan Handler) pretends to be gay to land a big client who wants a new agent (excuse us, "gaygent") and Karen (Natascha McElhone) and Marcy (Pamela Adlon) are roomates. David Duchovny in New Canaan filming scenes for new movie

Actor David Duchovny was on Main Street in New Canaan Monday filming scenes for a new movie, “After The Fall.” Duchovny, along with stars Hope Davis and Timothy Hutton, spent time filming at the Toy Chest and Baskin-Robbins, according to a report in New Canaan News. The film is based on the story of Maria Fareri, a Greenwich teen who died of rabies in 1995, and her parents, Brenda and John Fareri, who went on to help found the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center in New York. Duchovny, who is known for his roles in “The X Files” and “Californication,” was in Greenwich in October filming scenes for the same movie. http://blog.ctnews.com/culturecache/2012/11/20/david-duchovny-in-new-canaan-filming-scenes-for-new-movie/

Duchovny movie films in New Canaan

Part of Main Street was transformed into a movie set Monday afternoon for the filming of the upcoming movie "After the Fall" starring David Duchovny. Set designers prepared the Toy Chest and Baskin-Robbins for the scene.
The film will be a drama based on the story of a 13-year-old Greenwich girl who died of rabies in 1995 after being bitten by a bat. "After the unexpected death of their daughter, a couple work to build a state of the art children's hospital where families are welcomed into the healing process," the film's imdb.com's profile reads.

The girl, Maria Fareri, was a third-grader at Central Middle School in Greenwich when she became the first person to die of rabies in the state of Connecticut since 1932. Fareri was admitted to the Westchester County Medical Center on Sept. 25, 1995, and died 10 days later, on Oct. 3, according to an Oct. 5, 1995, article in The New York Times. Once a person has demonstrated symptoms of rabies, it is too late for treatment, and death is certain, the article said. "My tragedy as a physician is, she comes in, and I can't do a thing for her," a pediatric neurologist at the hospital, Dr. Tony Wolff, is quoted as saying in the article. Shooting for the film in New Canaan was delayed because of Hurricane Sandy, according to Town Administrator Tom Stadler.

David Duchovny on the steps of City Hall today filming "After the Fall"

More photos: After The Fall - David Duchovny

Public meetings are a common sight inside City Hall, but Wednesday, the building served as the set for an independent movie starring David Duchovny, Timothy Hutton and Hope Davis. The movie, “After the Fall,” is inspired by true events that led to the founding of the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, which served as a model for including family in the healing process. The hospital is in Valhalla, N.Y. Duchovny, probably best known for his TV role in “The X Files,” and Hope Davis play parents whose daughter dies but go on to help form the new children’s hospital. Movie crews arrived at 6 a.m. Several trucks lined up adjacent to the building, and dozens of cables snaked their way through the auditorium and the surrounding halls for the shoot. The crew shot two scenes for the movie.

One scene was a town council meeting where a concerned citizen gives a speech about how a local developer manages to get around zoning restrictions. Duchovny’s character sat in the back of the auditorium listening.

The large scope of the auditorium was one of the reasons it was chosen for the scene.

“We just loved the look and feel of it,” said Anthony Mastromauro, producer for the movie. “We are happy to work here, and the people are friendly.”

The main entrance to the hall was left open during the scene to give it the feel that any person could walk into the meeting, he said.

Mayor Ben Blake’s personal office was transformed into a New York senator’s office for the day.

“This is great exposure for Milford,” Blake said. “It’s also good for the downtown shops and businesses as people come in and out.” Continued...
