Episode Synopsis
Picking up after the last event series’ cliffhanger, Mulder and Scully learn that they aren’t the only ones desperately searching for their long-lost son, William. The very fate of the world may depend on it.
FOX launched today the first official clip from Season 11 and it is AMAZING! Secret lies in the X-FILES folder. Find out the truth when the X-FILES returns all-new in 2018 on FOX.
For a show about experiences that can’t be quantified, The X-Files isn’t lacking numbers: 208 (episodes), two (movies), one (Speedo). But the most significant might be 10 — as in, the 10 new episodes now filming in Vancouver. After ratings for 2016’s six-episode revival soared to UFO-worthy heights, the sci-fi drama will return in early 2018, reuniting David Duchovny’s believer and Gillian Anderson’s skeptic for another run of out-there cases. Along with a first look at the new episodes, series creator Chris Carter gave EW classified intel on what to expect from the 11th season.
We haven't seen the last of Monica Reyes on The X-Files.
On Sunday, actress Annabeth Gish shared an image from the set of the revived Fox series, and X-Files fans are jumping for joy over the fact that Monica Reyes' story line isn't going to end on the controversial note it did in the Season 10 episode in which she appeared.
From Joe Harris: This isn't really an "audiobook" read by a reader. It's more a experience (Dirk Maggs calls it an "Audio Movie" which is way more descriptive and accurate -- with sweeping sound design, and lots of additions to bring out the drama besides the interplay between Gillian Anderson, David Duchovny, Mitch Pileggi, William B. Davis and The Lone Gunmen).

The gang’s (almost all) back together.
X-Files creator Chris Carter has finalized the writers room for the series’ forthcoming 10-episode 11th season, and, like last year’s revival (aka Season 10), it’s stacked with franchise vets.
Spoiler alert? According to this article, Season 11 of The X-Files will be set two years after the events of Season 10.
Fox has ordered a second installment of The X-Files event series, the network announced Thursday.
The new 10-episode installment will feature David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprising their roles as FBI Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, respectively, while creator Chris Carter will be back as an executive producer.

“Iconic characters, rich storytelling, bold creators – these are the hallmarks of great TV shows,” said David Madden, president of Fox. “And they are some of the reasons why The X-Files has had such a profound impact on millions of fans worldwide. Chris’ creativity, along with the brilliant work of David and Gillian, continue to propel this pop culture phenomenon, and we can’t wait to see what fresh mysteries Mulder and Scully uncover in this next chapter of The X-Files.”

Guest Stars: William B. Davis as Cigarette Smoking Man, Annabeth Gish as Monica Reyes, Joel McHale as Tad O’Malley, Robbie Amell as Agent Miller, Lauren Ambrose as Agent Einstein, Julian Christopher as Dr. Oscar Griffiths and Aliza Vellani as Nurse Sandeep.
Synopsis:
The investigations that Mulder and Scully previously began with conspiracy theorist and web-TV show host Tad O’Malley (guest star Joel McHale) seem to have awakened powerful enemies. A widespread panic begins as people all over the country suddenly start falling gravely ill, and Scully must look within to try and find a cure. Meanwhile, Mulder confronts the man whom he believes to be behind it all, but another figure from Mulder and Scully’s past may prove to be the key to their salvation
The penultimate X-Files episode, "Babylon," is putting its own spin on modern-day terrorism: when an art gallery is targeted by bombers, Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) are recruited by a pair of younger agents, Miller (Robbie Amell) and Einstein (Lauren Ambrose).
“I think it’s timely; it’s a little ripped-from-the-headlines,” says creator Chris Carter, who wrote and directed the episode. “It introduces two new characters, Einstein and Miller, who look very much like a young Scully and Mulder. You’ll see a pairing of Scully with Miller, and Mulder with Einstein, which creates an interesting dynamic; Einstein is Scully on steroids, and Miller is old-school Mulder—he wants to believe.”
