On set: David Duchovny shocks with drag makeover for new role 'Soapbox' - April, 2026

Hollywood heartthrob David Duchovny certainly had pulses racing for a different reason than usual as he dressed in drag for his latest role. The 65-year-old A-list actor will surely shock fans as he donned a big, blond wig and lacy negligee on the Los Angeles set of Soapbox.



Duchovny looked in good spirits as he flashed a big smile while getting prepared to get in front of the camera with his new look. The talented actor donned a racy all-black look consisting of lacy blouse, sequined mini skirt and stockings. He certainly committed to the bit as he also wore a blond wig featuring sideswept fringe and a swipe of bright red lipstick. 


 


 


 


 


Duchovny was not alone as he was joined by co-star Laverne Cox who stunned in a suit. 

Duchovny co-wrote the comedy film which is centered around an aging soap opera star who finds himself caught in the absurdities of today’s culture wars, according to Deadline.

Mike And Dave Need Wedding Dates director Andrew Jay Cohen is helming the film which Duchovny co-wrote alongside Max Barbakow.

Duchovny's 26-year-old daughter with ex-wife Téa Leoni, West Duchovny, will also star in the project though her role is still unknown.

Others on the cast include Randall Park, Jimmi Simpson, and Jennifer Grey.
