Fly 92.3: David Duchovny: Man of Many Talents 'Hell or Highwater'

Back in September, or maybe it was October; eh it doesn't matter, either way I had the opportunity to hang out with actor/writer/overlytalentedguy, David Duchovny. Based on how I was introduced we started chit chatting a bit about a subject not many would have probably expected out of him: Songwriting.
Duchovny is well known for his protrayal of "Foxx Mulder" on the cult series X-Files, or, my personal fave, "Hank Moody" from Californication. He's a wildy talented man who is so incredibly down-to-earth, it was amazing to get the chance to pick his brain and hear that we have a lot of similiarities. Turns out, he loves to write (check out his recently released novel, "Holy Cow!") and not just in the story aspect of things, but song writing, as well.
I jokingly asked him if his iPhones notes section was full like mine is and he, in serious response said, "My iPad is!" Whether on set, in the air within travel, or hanging out at home he is the constant writer. As we agreed, some things just need to get out.

He's been working with my friends at ThinkSay Records for the last year or so creating his masterpiece which has turned into his first official release, "Hell or Highwater."

While I was at the studio the couple times I had, I witnessed the recording and production elements that have gone into his record and for someone that hasn't necessarily had the experience in the music industry, he seemed more than comfortable performing, taking guidance and attempting to make things sound as perfect as they could.

With the release of his album coming, a brand new tv show in the works "Aquarius" out this May on NBC and a reboot of The X-Files David's a busy guy and nothing is going to stop him.

You can pre-order his debut album here
