Zoom Talk with David Duchovny: "I'm bringing the Novella Back!" - The Rerservoir June 2022
David Duchovny talks to Brad Davidson about his new novel The Reservoir. Tom Kapinos (Californication's show creator) was scheduled to attend but he had an emergency.
David Duchovny is known for his role in the popular TV series "The X Files." He's also a published author and will talk about his latest book, The Reservoir, at Powell's Books at Cedar Hills Crossing in Beaverton Oregon. on June 8. Watch the video using this link.

We talk about how David originally intended his debut, Holy Cow, to be a film until it was turned down everywhere he took the idea, how he planned to be a professor and use holidays to write – his father was a magazine writer and playwright so it was a long-held dream of David’s to be a writer too – and how his teenage poetry was bad, just like (he says) his early acting skills.

Get an inside look at the actors' fully stocked fridge, his luxury home gym and find out his everyday exercises to get a good sweat in. Plus, he reveals one of his favorite high protein meals (which he learned from TikTok?!). Watch after the cut.

David Duchovny [The X-Files, Californication, Aquarius, The Bubble] talks with Anna (from inside a railroad car) about the movie they recently finished together, being intimidated by raw talent, his love of music, the challenges of writing, dealbreakers, what defines a good kiss, words to live by and much more.
The X-Files and Californication star reveals what it was like tackling the extremely meta Netflix comedy

For decades now, David Duchovny hasn’t been afraid to poke a little fun at his own image. The veteran TV star has peppered his career with roles in which he satirizes the nature of being “David Duchovny,” most recently seen in the first season of the Netlfix series The Chair, in which he satirized himself with aching attention to details like his recent literary and musical efforts.
But as he tells Consequence.net, taking on the role of “David Duchovny” was a very different experience from his role in The Bubble, the new Netflix comedy directed and co-written by Judd Apatow. The Bubble tracks a pandemic-era cast and crew assembling to film the latest installment of a fictional blockbuster franchise called Cliff Beasts 6, with Duchovny playing Dustin Mulray, one of the film’s stars, whose complicated relationship with ex-wife Lauren (Leslie Mann, Apatow’s real-life wife) is just one of the difficulties faced by the Cliff Beasts production team.
Duchovny’s new Audible Original, The Reservoir. Set in Manhattan in the early days of the pandemic, The Reservoir is a brilliantly conceived, darkly funny caper of conspiracy and madness that probes the nature of “virality” in our age. Watch Duchovny and Pascal discuss its conception, the nature of audio storytelling for screen actors, stories from the recording of The Reservoir, and chat about his fourth novel, Truly Like Lightning, plus much more.

The actor and author recently reunited with his former X-Files costar Gillian Anderson, and fans loved it
David Duchovny is the author of four books, including Holy Cow: A Modern-Day Dairy Tale and Miss Subways; his new novel is Truly Like Lightning. He is a singer-songwriter, screenwriter, and director, as well as a television, stage, and screen actor, most known for playing FBI agent Fox Mulder on the television series The X-Files, which earned him a Golden Globe award. He lives in New York and Los Angeles.

David Duchovny chats about his new novel, "Truly Like Lightning" and testing positive for COVID-19 in November 2020.

When mysterious monoliths began appearing and disappearing around the world in November, it seemed a puzzle straight out of "The X-Files."
And lucky for fans of the hit sci-fi show, David Duchovny knows exactly how Fox Mulder would have handled the curious case.
