It was produced by actor David Duchovny. Yes, that David Duchovny of X Files and Californication fame, since, you know, there are so many D. Duchovnys! We kid, we kid.
"This song has tremendous personal meaning to me. I am extremely grateful to director Nick Spanos and executive producer David Duchovny for pouring their hearts into this project and visually bringing it to life," Simons said. He continued, "There were a ton of people involved - America's Next Top Model winner Nicole Arianna Fox, bassist Darwin Johnson and drummer Robin DiMaggio, who played drums on the whole album. We also had actors, non-actors, dancers, musicians, kids, parents, grandparents, my friends and family, and that's just in front of the camera! Overall, I wanted to show the extraordinary side of real, everyday people and illustrate that love is worth fighting for.”
